The Original Meeting Hall
On June 21, 2020, the meeting hall of the church in Atlanta was set on fire.
Investigators determined the cause of the fire was arson. Fire, smoke and water damaged 95% of the meeting hall interior.

Since June 2020, the church in Atlanta has received an outpouring of support from saints, churches, and friends. To date we have received over $3M in gifts from outside of Atlanta as well as $2.5M from the local saints.

The new meeting hall will incorporate a mix of materials including stucco, glass, and stacked stone. The design of the building is intended to complement the residential character of the surrounding neighborhood while providing an inviting appearance to active members and guests alike.

Layout
- Expand existing conference capacity from 800 to 1,350
- Double the size of the existing children’s area to 6,000 sq ft
- Add more than eleven breakout rooms for smaller fellowship groups
- Include modern safety and security features in the design
- Increase the size of the church book room from 500 sq ft to 2,500 sq ft
- Enlarged commercial kitchen
- New dedicated cafeteria with seating for 150
Updated Site Layout
- Expand footprint from 20,000 sq ft to 35,000 sq ft; single story
- 192 parking spaces (55 more than at present)
- New building is ADA accessible; no steps, curbs or ramps
- Parking along Shallowford Road for direct access through the front of the building
- Significant hard and landscape curtain surrounding building for indoor-outdoor transition space and programming
